How Many Eyes Does a Caterpillar Have?
Caterpillars have 12 eyes. There are 6 eyes on each side of its head, called stemmata that are arranged in a semi-circle. One of the eyes is situated near antennae. Even with 12 eyes, the caterpillar can’t see perfectly. They can only differentiate light from dark.
