Popsicle or ice candy was accidentally invented by an 11-year-old kid. The child left a mixture of soda and water outside in a cup overnight. Because of the cold weather, it froze by the morning and he ate it. Popsicle was first called ‘Epsicle’ as the child’s last name was Epperson.
After many years when he had kids, they started calling it ‘Pop’s Sicle’ and from then it is called Popsicle.
