Talapatra

Posted on 16 July 202121 August 2021 By gkplus_jr1 No Comments on Talapatra

Before paper was invented, people used to write on ‘Talapatra’. Talapatras were dried palm leaves. A knife pen was used to write on these leaves and then colour was applied on it, which was later wiped out. Each leaf had a hole through which a string could be passed. Many leaves were stringed together to make a book.
